Sid AKA Vicious274

A quick video from Sid Pereira popped up on his YouTube channel - Vicious274. Expect more posts from Sid in the future!

The Future Of Tech Deck

Tech Deck recently sat down with Steve James, the owner of Finesse Skateboards, for a new installment of The Skitchin' Insider.

Steve James, who is also part of the Tech Deck team, gives us some info about the new wooden 30mm 7 ply decks,  new bearing wheels, longboards and even Glow-in-the-Dark graphics. You can read about this and much much more by CLICKING HERE!

Homewood Mini Meetup

Last week Justin Rodriguez from Homewood FB held a little meetup over in Homewood, IL and I was able to attend! I had a great time and Justin's homemade park was amazing. Everything on the park is movable so anything is possible with some imagination. I hope to do it again soon.

I was also able to pick myself up a M4 with a heat transfer graphic!

I actually didn't do much filming but Justin posted a quick one up on his YouTube page.

Homewood Update

I have been reading a lot of comments regarding this next post but they are finally here, Homewood decks are now available in wider sizes! That's right, you can now order a deck up to 32mm wide. Make sure you head over to HomewoodFB.com to pick up your very own. Like I wrote in a previous post everything is made to your order. You pick the kick height, amount of concave, the size and even if you want kingpin holes or not. If you can't find a deck here you need to check yourself!

Also if you decide to get the Smokestack graphic you choose the color of the monster and the color of the smoke.

Check out the colorways.

More Mike Schneider

Once again I bring you more Mike Schneider, 4 more videos to be exact! Make sure you hit up FlatfaceFingerboards.com for all your fingerboarding needs.

First video titled "Super Mini" featureMike himself, John Cowart, Scott Biesboer, Chris Petranek, Ryan Chlumecky, Sam Aronie, Tim Alexiel, Pat McGinn and Doug Bodkin.

Next up Mike and the boys show off some tricks on the BRR limited edition golden rail.

Once again Mike and the Illinois Crew hit up the +Blackriver-Ramps+ G7 Park.

Last up, Mike teams up with Sid Pereira (aka Vicious274) for a quick mini.

And just because I can some skate footage with Mike and the IL Crew.

New Videos From Mike Schneider

Here is a few new videos from Mike Schneider...

First video Mike takes on the +Blackriver-Ramps+ G5 Plaza with the help of Flatface team member Ed Garner.

Next Mike and Ed team up with Pat McGinn to hit up what is described as the Cowart Plaza.

New Substance Wheels For 2011/2012

Substance Wheels has just announced the new line up! These will soon be available at FingerboardStore.de (FBS) and at the Blackriver Shop in Berlin. For future updates be sure to check out their website BeyondFSB.com.

Blackriver Trucks Edition

Big Beudl Keychains Now @ Blackriver

Big Beudl keychains are now available at Blackriver-Shop.com. These keychains are mini replicas of some of +Blackriver-Ramps+ famous obstacles and previously where only sold at the Blackriver shop in Germany.

These keychains include the BRR Box 5 - Bench - Quarter Pipe - Funbox Box

Jay Ramp - Box 4 - D-Rex Ledge - Rooftop

And even a Harrier barrier and a few different couches.

Can't forget about the G8 Park!

The mini obstacles run about €10 ($14.25), couches €15 ($21.38) and the G8 park €100 ($142.54). I really can't see myself spending $100+ for a keychain so if I ever decide to pick one up it
will be a an obstacle.

Mike Schneider & Pat McGinn

Once again we get a video from Mike Schneider, this one features Flatface member Pat McGinn.

Mike Schneider & The IL Crew

New video from Mike Schneider and the Illinois crew (once again I was not invited for some reason.) I know the video is only about a minute long but there are some pretty sick tricks on the +Blackriver-Ramps+ low rail.

2011 Tech Deck US Fingerboarding Championships

Tech Deck just released the recap for the 5th and 6th stops on the 2011 Tech Deck US Fingerboarding Championship. With 6 stops down we are getting closer to the championship on September 3rd, 2011 in Long Beach, Long Island, NY.

STOP 5: Atlanta, GA (7/14/11)

STOP 6: Pine Brook, NJ (7/17/11)

Harry In The Nature

New video popped up from Harald Schön. This time the video features none other than the Dirty Harry himself. Once again the video editing is amazing and fits perfect with the song. This video makes me want to go outside and find a good spot. Anyone have any ideas!

Tech Deck Skate & Go Park

New from Tech Deck is the Skate & Go ramp set. This new ramp is really 3 ramps in 1 depending how you fold it up. It also doubles fourths(? LOL) as a caring case. And as always you get a Tech Deck board included.

It appears like this new ramp from Tech Deck has a grind rail, pyramid, a set of up/down kickers and quarter pipe (which can spin 360 degrees, so you can hit it from any angle.) It looks like you can get some good lines going with this you just have to be creative. Like I said before this folds up so there are many options for this 3 foot long park!

Oak Wheels Now At Flatface

Oak RV wheels are now available at FlatfaceFingerboards.com. The RV's are the latest style of Oak wheels. Just like a real skateboard wheel these are made out of urethane so the grip/performance is increased. These wheels are best suited for Blackriver and Y-Trucks and do not perform that well for standard shaped trucks like Tech Deck or China wides. Right now the wheels are available in Black, White, Light Blue, Brown and Yellow.

FingerSkateSelective's Fingerboard News (7-19-11)

No real news today, just contest results (...I never win...), so Frankie decides to show off some ledge tricks instead.

Monday, July 18, 2011

Bleh

Dax Browne shows off some tricks on concrete. He calls this video "BLEH" so I'm thinking he doesn't feel it's his best, but I still think the video is sick. I'm always so impressed with every video he puts out. Make sure you check out his YouTube page @STEEZYFSS and don't forget to hit that Subscribe button!

Interpret

Mike Schneider drops yet another video! This time he shows us some flat ground tricks on a glass table, moves it to the kitchen counter and than finishes on the +Blackriver-Ramps+ G7 Park.

Y-Trucks Restock

I've been waiting on this restock for some time now and it looks like it might happen.

According to the Y-Trucks Facebook page the stock will be up Monday July 18th.

If you want a set make sure you head over to YTrucks.com on Monday because these trucks always go fast! I'm really looking forward to picking up a set or two. I'm hoping to get some of the new colors.

Mike Schneider & The Blackriver Mini Table

Mike Schneider once again but this time he takes on the +Blackriver-Ramps+ Mini Picnic Table.

Jay Linehan & The 'Fast Fingers 14' Park

This video shows an up close look at the concrete park built for the 2011 fingerboard world championship "Fast Fingers 14." We also get to see Blackriver team rider Jay Linehan throw down some tricks as well.

Black Rainbow

New video popped up from Mike Schneider and I must say it is very interesting to say the least. Like always though Mike shows off his amazing skills, this time on the Vista Ledge. You can pick your own Vista Ledge on FlatFaceFingerboards.com right now.

European Fingerboard Championship (Part 1)

Part 1 of the European Fingerboard Championship in Prag. The video filmed by Harald Schön features many of the Blackriver and ASI-Berlin team riders!

Wooden Tech Deck Ramps Preview

It looks like Tech Deck has stepped up their game with the new WOODEN mini ramp and fun box. By now you probably have all seen the wooden Tech Decks in your local Toys-R-Us, Wal-Mart, or wherever but it looks like they have wooden ramps dropping later this year!

Not too much info is released on these at the moment but I can tell you they are made with high quality smooth wood and feature metal coping/rails for grinding. The are said to retail for $29.99 and should be available in the fall. All in all they look promising and I will definitely have to check them out when they get released.

Homewood Update

Head over to HomewoodFB.com to pick up your very own Smokestack graphic deck. And that's not even the best part about it. You pick the mold, size, the color of the monster, the color of the smoke and even if you want kingpin holes or not!

Also make sure you pick up the PlyWood low box. PlyWood you ask?! PlyWood is the brain child of Todd from No ComPLY and Justin from HomeWOOD. The box measures just under 12" long, 5 5/8" wide and just over 1.5" tall. PlyWood's low box has round coping on one side and a synthetic granite material on the other. I know a lot of companies have boxes but this one looks very unique with thcorian insert on the edge.

Y-Trucks Update

For those of you who have been keeping up with the Y-Truck restock you already know that it never happened. However, according to the blog on the Y-Trucks site, Ytrucks.com, there should be a restock really soon featuring the new colors.

Hopefully we won't have to wait long for these to come out. I'm not sure if the solid orange trucks will be released as previously posted but these new colorways still look sick. I wouldn't mind owning either of the new color combos.

The orange/white ones kind of remind me of a creamsicle.

The Schneider Brothers & Sam Aronie

A quick little desk mini with Mike Schneider, Sam Aronie and Mike's little brother Dylan.

Elias Assmuth, Timo Kranz & Dimitri Schlotthauer At The Harrics

Elias Assmuth, Timo "TKY" Kranz and Dimitri Schlotthauer meet up with Harald Schön for a little session over at the Harrics. Enjoy!

No Comply Distribution Restock

Make sure you head over to NoComplyFingerboards.com right now to check out the restock!

There are many different decks available including the return of No Comply's famous Everslick's. I own an older M2 everslick and it still has pop like the day it came out of the mold. If you have never tried one your missing out. To celebrate the return, Todd will include a FREE set of wide trucks, hardware, a sheet of Foamy J and stickers with the purchase of a T1 (Eddy Vargas graphic) or T2 (Todd Cuzzort graphic) everslick.

NCD also has you covered when it comes to trucks, grip, tuning, obstacles and some of the best bearing wheels in the world. And if I've learned one thing about Todd, it's that there is always something new in the works!

Flaked Holland Shape

Flaked is back now with the "Holland shape." This board is an addition to the medium-metal mold family. Not much is released about the deck yet but I do know it has a flat shape just like Holland itself. I have the current 4 ply, deep concave mold right now but I'm a big fan of flat shapes. I'm definitely looking forward to getting one for myself... maybe with a *Flaked Junt* graphic.

Captusk Premium Series

Captusk Fingerboards have always seemed to make premium decks and this just puts them over the top.

These boards appear to have a faux diamond rhinestones right in the deck! I can only imagine that these will be very limited and with a premium price. They are not available right now but make sure you keep checking Captusk.com to get your hands fingers on one of these.
